What is MemoText?
Memotext™ is a mobile memory manager for your life, developed
for use as a text message reminder service. Memotext™ allows
you to pre-set repeating and non-repeating reminders online and
then Memotext™ sends those reminders out as mobile (cellular)
phone text message reminders.
How is this different than a
palm or blackberry?
MemoText™ is different than a PDA in two main ways:
- PDA’s do not let you schedule reminders
for other people. They don’t let you set a reminder that
can be sent to other people’s cellular phones. MemoText™
lets you set and forget. Then you can rest assured that everyone
in your world will remember.
- MemoText™ is significantly less expensive
than a PDA. It lets you take advantage of an online calendar that
sends notifications to your wireless device.
What are text messages?
Text messages are sent by SMS or Short Message Services. SMS is
a general name for the technology which enables users to send and
receive text messages via mobile phones. If you own a cell phone,
chances are, you have the ability to send and receive short text
messages.
Is my phone text message enabled?
Most existing digital cellular phones are capable of receiving messages.
Some older phones may not allow you to send messages from your phone
but you can likely still receive text messages. Consult your cellular
phone’s user manual or contact the carrier for details on
using the Text Messaging capabilities of your particular phone.
What is also important is to ask whether or not the people receiving
the reminders you send are text message enabled.
How do I check text messages
on my phone?
For most cellular digital phones it works like this:
- When you receive a new text message reminder,
an alert tone sounds and an envelope icon appears.
- Select "Read or View," and then scroll
down to read the full message.
Most phones have both audible and visual notifications
when a message is received. The appearance of an envelope icon on
your screen will also indicate that a message has been received.
Consult your cellular phone’s user manual for more details
on this and how to adjust the method of notification.
Can I add as many cell phone
numbers as I want?
Yes! You can enter as many as you can handle.
How many messages can I send?
Right now we only allow a maximum of 200 messages to be sent per
month. If you need more than 200 messages per month please click
here and let us know your needs. We are currently developing
packages to address high volume usage of text message reminders.

Does the person receiving the
text message reminder have to pay to receive it? Does the person
I send a reminder to get charged for the text message?
That depends on what carrier the recipient of the text message is
with. The recipient may incur a cost of anywhere from 0¢ to
10¢ on their cell phone bill for received messages depending
on the carrier and whether or not they have a text messaging plan.
Please consult your carrier’s pricing plan to learn more.
Do I have to pay my carrier
for text messages sent?
No you don’t. This is a separate service from your cellular
service.
Is there a cost to upgrade/downgrade?
The only cost to upgrade is the difference between the package you
were on and the package you have selected. You will only be charged
the difference between your old plan and your new plan in the month
that you made the change. Your new rate will take effect on the
first of next month. The best part is that your new plan will take
effect immediately so you can go and schedule more messages right
away!
Downgrading doesn’t cost anything! We understand
that the pace of life sometimes slows down and you may not require
as many reminders to be sent out.
Can I send text messages to
an email or just to a phone?
Right now, you can only send text message reminders to your phone,
but drop us a line and let us know if this is functionality you
are interested in seeing!
Can I send multiple reminders
to the same person (same message) without using up my monthly messages?
Every message sent counts as 1 message, no matter if it is to the
same person.
How much will it cost me?
We have several packages available, check
out our pricing plan.
Is there a start-up fee?
Yes, there is a one-time activation fee of $9.00. After that it’s
just your monthly pricing plan.
Can I cancel anytime? Is there
a charge?
Yes you can cancel anytime with no penalty. Any text message reminders
scheduled for the month within which you cancelled will be delivered
(unless you delete them). Your subscription will end the following
month. However after you cancel, you will no longer be able to login
to your cancelled MemoText™ account.
How do I know my reminders were
sent?
We send the sender an email with a tracking code to ensure that
you s/he knows the status of the message.
Can I send reminders to myself?
Of course you can. We highly recommend it! Just add your own cellular
phone number into your contact list and start scheduling!
Can I send reminders to more
than one person?
Of course! That’s the beauty of MemoText™ we let you
set reminders for everyone in your life. (as long as they have a
cellular phone!) Feel free to add as many mobile recipients to your
contact list!
If I send one reminder to more
than one person is it considered one reminder or more?
If you send one reminder to 2 (or more) different cellular phones,
that counts as 2 text message reminders because it is sending out
2 (or more) separate text message reminders.
If I cancel a message before
it is sent do I get to use that message again or do I lose it in
terms of how many messages I can send per month?
You definitely still get to use that message as long as you are
still within that calendar month. In other words, you have all of
your messages until they are sent to a cellular phone.
Can I send reminders long distance?
There is no such thing as long distance with MemoText™. There
is no price difference for sending a text message locally or internationally.
So send to your aunt in Alaska, or your cousin in Montreal!
What if the person I am sending
a reminder to doesn’t know how to use text messaging?
If you send someone a text message reminder and they don’t
know how to use text messaging. You should probably inform them
that you are doing so. Nevertheless, they will notice the incoming
message indicator or envelope icon that shows up on their cellular
phone screen. The option to read or view the incoming message is
very intuitive, easy and fun!
Can I use Memotext for my business?
MemoText works great to remind business associates of upcoming meetings,
deadlines and recurring activities. We use MemoText around our office
all the time to remind people of weekly status calls, sales meetings
and events for upcoming product launches
Difficulties in logging in?
If a message appears as Ôinvalid loginÕ, you have typed in an invalid
username or password. Please check and type in the correct username
and password.
When you log in if you are being directed to the
ÔMemoText loginÕ page, please make sure that cookies are enabled
in your browser, since this website requires session cookies enabled
for it to work properly.
How secure is this site?
With Memotext™ all transactions and transmissions are 100%
secure. We use one of today’s most advanced security systems
-- Secure Socket Layers (SSL) 128bit encryption technology - to
encrypt all information you provide. If you choose not to signup,
we delete all mobile numbers instantly. We do not sell or divulge
any customer information, mobile numbers or email addresses. For

information such as your name, address, e-mail, mobile numbers and
credit card number we securely transmit and store that information
with our authentication and electronic payment processing partner
